How to have a Fabulous Flight
Begin and end your holiday in style by following these top tips for looking 'plane' perfect when you are jetting off!
Before Taking Off
- Wear loose-fitting clothes, with a few layers on your top half. The temperature on board a flight can go up and down. This way you can stay as cool or keep as warm as you need.
- Pack a clean top in your hand luggage to avoid arriving at your destination in dirty clothes in the case of a bad flight.
- Put long hair back in a neat plait to keep it out of your face. Avoid ponytails as these can make leaning back in your seat uncomfortable.

In Flight
Sitting still for a long time can cause fluid to build up in your legs and ankles, which makes them swell up. To stop this move around the cabin as often as you can. When this isn't possible try these simple exercises in your seat:
> Ankle Circles - Remove your shoes and imagine you are trying to draw a circle with your big toe. Circle your ankle clockwise and then anti-clockwise. Repeat this 10 times with each leg.
> Knee Lifts - Lift your right knee to your chest and then let it drop. Lift your left knee to your chest and let it drop. Repeat 10 times.
